"Sometimes, the artist has to be reborn or awakened from his or her tight sleep

in order to unleash the power of his or her art."

Anatomy of a Cover Shoot: For this month’s ish, it was decided that Artist Tanya Escaler’s bright and airy bedroom be the cover of our May 09 Bed and Bath Special. And here’s how we did it...

Behind the Scenes by Coni, Real Living Assistant Stylist.
Photographer Miguel Nacianceno is ready to take the shot.
That’s Tanya peeking from the door frame.
But hold on! Style Editor Gwyn Guanzon still needs to make a few adjustments.
Yum! Tanya’s so kind to serve us chocolates and cookies.
Gwyn checks the image.
Art Director Carlo Vergara takes a second look.
And here’s the final product!

AN ARTIST AND AIDE IN HER MOTHER'S OFFICE IN CONGRESS, Tanya Escaler COMBINES A PASSION FOR CLOTHING AND JEWELLERY WITH REMARKABLE FLAIR.

STATUESQUE AND STYLISH, 30-year-old Tanya Escaler makes it all look so easy. With an efficient wardrobe that includes her TECHNOMARINE watch with red strap and CHLOE PADDINGTON white bag she certainly puts to good use. As she does volunteer work with the less fortunate children in hospitals, Escaler takes on a new journey and holds on to her WOMEN'S DEVOTIONAL BIBLE. She also finds another passion dabbling in abstract work and portriats and designs intricate handmade silver jewellery. When it comes to dressing, she wears pieces that are rather extraordinary, like her ROBERTO CAVALLI sarong. She likes to mix the old with the new like her vintage snakeskin belt that makes a statement with its contrasting textures. She adds her personal touch with a BLACK FEDORA. For unmatched style, she shines through with a simple white gold T pave diamond necklace.
